TOP DRIVES DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP | JUNE - AUGUST 2024
Welcome to the Top Drives Development Roadmap - June 2024.
With this latest development roadmap update, we're changing the format slightly, letting go of the "Braking Distance", "On the Horizon" and "Long road trip" sections, replacing them with one continuous list of development focuses for the next quarter (3 months).
[DISCLAIMER]
It's important to keep in mind that our timelines do shift, and so do team priorities. Features listed in the roadmap may end up coming out later.
For every player-facing feature, there is often a non-player-facing feature, such as improving our tooling to deliver more live content or upgrading our backend infrastructure, so this list does not include everything we will be working on.

Next Developments
Match Results Screen Enhancements We recognize that the current match results screen in Top Drives doesn't always provide a clear explanation of why and how you’ve won or lost a race. We're developing a new results screen that is set to roll out in several stages.
The first version will feature the top three reasons for your match result, along with some minor UI improvements.

A future update will include a detailed stat comparison table, highlighting the three most critical stats contributing to your result.
New Campaign Players indicated in focused surveys that they consider the campaign one of the most important gameplay features in Top Drives. A new 150-round single-player campaign will be introduced to Top Drives soon and will broadly focus on American cars.
Smaller Races Traditionally, Top Drives races consist of five cars against the opponent’s five cars. We are introducing functionality to support smaller races, such as 1v1 and 2v2. Initially, these smaller races will only be available in the single-player campaign and not in PvP races or Challenges. There is a probability that in some shape or form, smaller races will make their way to the rest of the game in the future, although currently there are no plans for this.
Percentage-Based Prize Tiers To address concerns about underfilled or overfilled brackets leading to unfair rewards, a new percentage-based prize tier system will be introduced. This system is in the final stages of development. More details will be provided soon, as there will be important considerations to explain.
Car Rarity Changes Car Rarity Changes are returning after two years, with significant improvements for a smoother experience. This feature compensates players with upgrade/fuse tokens when a car they own and have upgraded changes rarities, such as moving from Epic to Ultra Rare.
Key improvements include:
No expiry period for upgrade tokens.
Tokens become active when you log in to the game rather than on a set date.
A new UI table to view available tokens.
The feature has been rebuilt from scratch for a more seamless experience.

Automatic Hand Selection A new feature will automatically select cars from your garage for your hand, aimed mainly at newer players who might not know which cars to choose. Currently, this feature only considers RQ values and hand requirements, not tracksets, and will be A/B tested with new players only.

Timeless Achievements Using the technology behind Racing Objectives, we plan to introduce permanent objectives, or Achievements, focused on completing your garages and progressing in campaigns.
These long-term objectives will be linked to a new reward system, featuring player icons awarded for achievements such as collecting all cars from a certain brand or progressing in a campaign and defeating a boss to earn their icon. Note that this feature is in the early stages of development, so expect changes.
Racing Objectives Expansion Following the successful launch of Racing Objectives earlier this year, we are exploring ways to enhance this feature. We've gathered and organised all feedback and will soon start working on changes, including the design of objectives, the number of objectives, and the rewards for completion.
New Car Update A thrilling new update will be coming to Top Drives this summer! Can you guess which brands will be featured?
Miami Track The next environment, Miami, is in development. More details will be shared soon!
