New Cars - Asia-Pacific Revival Part 1

For the latest update, Top Drives has returned to the Asia-Pacific region for an exciting update spread across Honda, Hyundai, and Suzuki.

The first part of the Asia-Pacific Revival release also marks the arrival of Japanese carmaker Mitsuoka in Top Drives. A very exciting brand famous for creating a number of retro-styled cars, along with some courageous ones.

In total, there are 152 new cars in the 25.0 release. Here, we break down the details for some of our favourites:

2007 Honda Civic Type R (FD2)

The FD2-generation Honda Civic Type R is a car that, despite being sold only in Japan, is much sought after by JDM enthusiasts. Why would a hot yet practical four-door saloon be so sought after? Well, aside from its rarity and daily usability, the FD2 is heralded as being the last truly analogue version of the Civic Type R thanks to feelsome steering and an incredibly balanced chassis - elements that make it one of the best driver’s cars ever to wear the famous badge. Under the bonnet is a high-revving 2.0-litre K20A engine that sends 222bhp to the front wheels via a precise six-speed manual transmission. Launch it off the line cleanly, and the FD2 will sprint from 0-60mph in a scant 6 seconds.

2007 Mitsuoka Orochi

If ever there was a model that perfectly demonstrates a brand’s design ethos, the Mitsuoka Orochi is it. Mitsuoka says the "Orochi is the car to ride to gather attention from everyone,” something its outrageous styling helps it achieve. Love it or hate it, there is no doubt it’s quick, taking only 6.4 seconds to get to 60mph from a standing start. All of that radical styling is not for show either, with the Orochi capable of 150mph flat out.

Then there is the car’s name, which is said to be derived from Yamata no Orochi, a legendary eight-headed eight-tailed Japanese dragon. Would you have expected anything less?

2011 Suzuki Kizashi Apex Turbo Concept

The standard Suzuki Kizashi is a competent but rather ordinary car. Not particularly quick or exciting, nothing to really shout about. To rectify this, and in an attempt to make it more exciting, Suzuki created this, the Apex Turbo Concept.

Under the energy drink-inspired bodywork sits a turbocharged engine pushing out 300bhp, more torque, and an enhanced chassis. Meaning the Apex outruns the standard Kizashi in the corners, as well as in a straight line, hitting a top speed of 150mph.

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup car

Built to compete in the one-make eN1 race class, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup car is a track-special that is built with one purpose in mind: speed. Visually, it still looks similar to the regular Ioniq 5 N hot hatch; everything from the wheels up has been changed in the name of lap times. It has reduced weight, an array of motorsports upgrades to the chassis and safety kit, as well as the wild-looking body work that gives it enhanced aerodynamics and greater downforce.

Updated Home Screen

Our UI artists have been hard at work improving the home screen of the game to make it more intuitive and up-to-date with modern standards.

An important element like Racing Objectives now has its own big button, while the Item Leaderboards button has been moved to the bottom panel.

Campaign, Challenge, and Event panels are also more pronounced, providing a clearer indication of the type of gameplay they offer.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix for an issue where beating a challenge round that awards a pack containing Cash and Gold, the currency balances would not immediately update visually.

  • Fix for an issue where banner notifications would not display consistently.

  • Corrected the car image for the 2002 Infiniti Q45 (F50)

  • Fixes for progression issues with the first time user experience.

  • Fix for an exploit where players can gain more money then they should by upgrading cars that went from a higher rarity down to a lower rarity then selling it.

  • Fix for an issue where the tokens button in the player garage can go missing after an automatic restart to the start screen due to the game being in "sleep" mode for 12 hours.

  • Fix for an issue where some Bavaria track textures appear to be asphalt when they are actually off-road.

  • Fix for an issue where on occasion a pack can display with the odds as 100% F/Common on some or all cards, despite the pack being set up correctly for other rarities.

  • Fix for an issue where players can be charged inventory items for a store purchase and not receive the purchase.
