With a host of content dropping on the Top Drives YouTube channel to celebrate the game's anniversary this month, we wanted to look back on the history of the Top Drives Show! And what better way to do it than with a video countdown...

Back in the early Top Drives days, the game had a much smaller team behind it, but there's always been a passion for video content. When we launched in 2017, it was Mat, our Community Manager and Josie, our Games Analyst at the time that led the way in creating content for our players. And so, the Top Drives Show was born, with regular videos featuring community Q&As and showcasing new game features with co-presenters Tim and Jonny.

#1 The First Episode!

While we spent most of our time finding quiet spots of the office to film in, we also managed to squeeze in some excursions to check out some cars in the real world. We're not all car fanatics here at Hutch, but some of us are! And once we'd found our feet outside of the office, there was no stopping us... we filmed our 2019 Christmas special at the awesome Joe Macari Showroom in South West London.

But when Covid hit, our entire set up changed. Our Community Manager, Dmitri ran the show from home during lockdown, including twice monthly live streams - all before he'd actually met the team in person!

#3 The Pandemic Months

During lockdown our UK studio was renovated and we returned to an office with a brand new filming area. This gave us the space we needed to upgrade our lighting and give our videos a fresh, warm and vibrant look. We also welcomed our new Community Manager, Caleb to the team who has taken the driving seat on presenting.

And that brings us to the present day! This month we spent a day filming the Audi R8 to create some epic Top Drives Show content to showcase the latest game update and celebrate 5 years of Top Drives and the Top Drives Show.
