When we switched to a 4 Day Week here at Hutch, we wanted to ensure that we could be as productive as possible on those 4 days without losing the feeling of togetherness as a team. To help with this, we’ve introduced 5 Team Day Fridays throughout the year where we all meet up in person for our All Hands meeting, game demos and a guest speaker, as well as taking part in brainstorming workshops and socialising! Last Friday we got the ball rolling with our very first Team Day...

We kicked the day off with a 'Heads Together' session where we involved the entire team in collaborative brainstorming sessions focused around business questions in small groups. Then we had some social time with various activities around the office, from photography classes, Pokemon and Ping Pong to Lego and Mario Karting.

Our guest speaker for the day was Jon Jordan, co-founder at Steel Media (the company behind the Pocket Gamer websites and conferences) who gave us a really interesting talk on blockchain - 10 reasons to embrace it and 10 reasons not to. As a company, it's super important to us that we keep looking forwards, and this definitely got us thinking!

All in all, we had a great day and really enjoyed taking time to reconnect as a team.
