Welcome to our latest update and the new Season - Overloaded!

Read on to find out what's coming in the latest update for Top Drives.

Racing Objectives

We're very pleased to reveal Racing Objectives, our latest big feature for Top Drives! Complete daily tasks to earn Rewards and Racing Points. Collect Racing Points to progress in the Objectives Ladder and earn even more Prizes!

The objectives for Top Drives span past, current, and future initiatives aimed at enhancing the experience for players at different stages of their journey. Beginning with a core goal of providing tailored experiences for new, veteran, and returning players, the process underwent several phases of evolution.

Initially, Daily Objectives were introduced in mid-2023 but fell short of expectations during testing with new users. Subsequently, a redesigned approach called 'License Objectives' was launched in late 2023, focusing on guiding players through their first seven days with revamped interfaces and varied objective types. This iteration garnered positive engagement, leading to its full implementation for all new users by early 2024.

Presently, the team is introducing daily objectives, now dubbed 'Racing Objectives,' following the successful model of License Objectives.

Racing Objectives will offer repeatable daily tasks with potential weekly additions, anticipating some initial challenges due to its novelty. We’d appreciate your patience and look forward to feedback on the feature itself.

Looking ahead, the near future will see the introduction of 'Seasonal Objectives,' aligning with ongoing seasonal content such as Collection Series and Tri-Series events. Some types of objectives we have will focus on competing certain Events, completing rounds in Challenges as well as collecting, upgrading and fusing various cars!

Finally, the distant future holds the prospect of 'Timeless Objectives,' rewarding players for various milestones in their Top Drives journey, including car collection and participation in future initiatives, with both existing and new rewards slated for distribution upon completion.

Test Tracks Rollout

Test Tracks, the name we use for the in-game tutorial available to new players, will now be rolled out to all new players. All existing players who have not previously participated in Test Tracks will have it as Completed in their Single Player Carousel.

Test Tracks as they appear in the Campaigns menu

The Test Tracks rollout began with A/B testing a new first-time user experience in late 2022, guiding players through lessons on various mechanics of Top Drives, such as track variants, surfaces, upgrading, car performance, and rarities. After refining the system through multiple iterations, it was officially launched for all new users in mid-2023. Initially planned for universal rollout, technical considerations delayed this move. However, the team is now ready to expand the UI to all players, aiming to further enhance the first-time user experience through iterative improvements.

For existing players who haven't experienced Test Tracks before, it will now be visible in the Campaign carousel beside Championships, marked as 100% complete. Players can tap on each lesson to view its summary but won't be able to claim any rewards.
